2-3 slices bacon, diced & browned
Finely Chopped onion
½ - 1 small head red cabbage, chopped
2 tbsps lemon juice or vinegar
¼ cup icing sugar
Salt & Pepper
1 apple, diced
Dash water as needed
Saute bacon & onion. Leave grease in skillet. Add cabbage to bacon and onion. Add lemon juice or vinegar, icing sugar, salt, pepper and apple. Cover.
Simmer until cabbage is tender, keeping enough liquid in pan to prevent sticking.
